The bridge packer is mainly used in U-PVC systems and provides a flat surface for the setting and seating of sealed units. The bridge also provides a water escape and ventilation route around the insulated glazed units. Generally a minimum of two per fixed light are used, positioned not to restrict drainage rebates. Additional packers can also be used in conjunction with the bridge packer to position and centralise the sealed unit.
