The anthracite screw in EasyVent is made from Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA) which is a much more tough and durable plastic than PVC. ASA has an outstanding resistance to weathering, ageing and yellowing, meaning it will keep its high glossy finish for a long period of time. These vents are used to provide background ventilation in habited spaces which are meant to be naturally ventilated by removing polluted indoor air and replacing it with clean fresh outside air to create a healthy living environment, without creating a draught. These vents consume no electrical power. They can be left open whilst keeping the windows locked. The 4000 vents have a honeycomb grill which is designed to filter out the outdoor unwanted airborne debris, when the vent is open the acoustic value is 33db, which is considerably better than an open window. The sharp point screws that come with the vent will penetrate the upvc frame without the need to drill a hole for the fixing. Please note:The external vent is anthracite (RAL 7016) and the internal vent is white. (RAL 9010)
